Jen’s Priorities

• Economic growth that creates family-sustaining jobs with good benefits. Jen understands the difficulty of rising costs and the importance of providing for our family’s needs.

• A public safety plan that supports police and protects our communities.

• Ensuring schools are fully funded and parents fully empowered so our kids have a bright future.

• Confronting our community’s mental health crisis by eliminating barriers to mental health resources.

Jobs

Jen is a small business owner and understands what it takes to create and sustain jobs. Jen will advocate for policies to curb government expenditures, prevent overreach, and lower taxes. She knows this is crucial for holding the government accountable to the people of this commonwealth. Jen will fight to cut bureaucratic red tape and restore fiscal stability to the state budget.

Jen wants Pennsylvania to lead in the effort to attract jobs to our Commonwealth. We have to ensure our regulations are understandable and predictable, that permits are approved in a timely manner and that all of our departments have a how can we help attitude, not an attitude aimed at preventing growth.

Energy

Jen wants to unleash the power of Pennsylvania’s energy using the natural resources we have here to lower prices and create jobs here in our communities. Jen supports an all of the above energy strategy that allows for responsible use of coal and natural gas and the continued development of alternative forms of energy.

Jen will fight job killing energy policies like cap and trade, which will increase energy prices and stop companies from coming to Pennsylvania. She supports efforts to remove Pennsylvania from the unconstitutional RGGI compact with northeastern states that will shut down our power plants in Pennsylvania and increase energy prices for Pennsylvanians.

Together, we can develop a responsible energy policy that serves the interests of our constituents. Pennsylvania stands poised to contribute to America's path toward energy independence, reducing dependence on sources from unpredictable nations that may not share our values.

Community Development

Jen believes that Eastern Allegheny County is too often forgotten by our county, state and federal leadership. While economic opportunities continue to come to the North and South Hills and the City of Pittsburgh and our neighbors in Westmoreland, Washington and Butler counties, the communities that make up the 45th Senatorial district don’t seem to share in these opportunities.

Jen will fight to ensure that our communities are at the table when it comes to economic development. She will prioritize projects that have real economic impact that create jobs that can help rebuild our areas.

She will fight for funding to help remediate blight in our communities and ensure we are actively working to rehabilitate downtowns to make them ready for businesses to move in to

Education

As a mom, Jen is a proponent of a high-quality education for all children.

Jen believes that for too long a zip code has determined what kind of education our kids receive.

We must ensure schools are not only properly funded but that we are spending that money in the most efficient way.

Jen is a strong advocate for parental involvement in their child’s education. Studies consistently show that parental involvement improves educational outcomes for students. We also must ensure that parents have high quality options and empower them to be an active part in their children’s education.

Jen will advocate for Pre-K funding and ensure students have access the tools to address their mental health as well.

Labor

As an employer, Jen employs a unionized workforce in her security firms. She is proud to offer competitive pay and benefits to her employees. Jen understands the important role that unions have had in building our region and their place in building our future.

Public Safety

Jen recognizes the vital role our first responders play in ensuring public safety and responding to emergencies. She understands the sacrifices these brave individuals make daily and is committed to ensuring they have the support and resources necessary to perform their duties effectively. Jen believes that by investing in our first responders, we not only enhance the safety and security of our communities but also demonstrate our gratitude for their dedicated service. We must remove barriers to our volunteer Fire Departments and EMS and ensure they have adequate funding to support their departments.

Jen’s work in the security industry has given her a deep appreciation for the work of our police officers. Jen will never support efforts to defund our police and will work to ensure they have the resources and tools they need to do their jobs that keep our communities safe.

Finally, we have to ensure that our laws are being enforced. She will not stand idly by while progressive judges ignore the law and allow dangerous individuals to go free endangering the people of our communities. We must allow the Attorney General to prosecute the laws of the Commonwealth in areas like Philadelphia and elsewhere when a prosecutor refuses to prosecute crimes.
